Overview
A shrine to the white snake that lives only in part of Iwakuni, a national natural monument.
About this place
A shrine in Imazu-cho, Iwakuni. Founded next to the white snake viewing facility out of the idea of protecting and worshipping the white snakes found only in parts of Iwakuni, it enshrines the deity of Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture. It is said to bring benefits for wealth, business prosperity, and health and longevity, and designs with white snake motifs appear throughout.
