Overview
A ropeway up to Iwakuni Castle, with recorded commentary on the way from the base station to the summit.
About this place
A ropeway going from the foot station in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi, to Iwakuni Castle at the summit. You listen to an audio guide to Iwakuni's history on the way up, and from the summit station it is about a 10-minute walk to Iwakuni Castle. The view takes in the Kintai Bridge and all of Iwakuni, and on a clear day extends to the Seto Inland Sea; the summit plaza has a mechanical clock tower, play equipment, and a rest area.
