About this place
Michi-no-Eki Hotaru Kaido Nishinoichi is a roadside station on Yamaguchi Prefectural Route 34 Shimonoseki-Nagato Line in Oaza Nakamura, Toyota-cho, Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Toyota-cho, where it is located, is famous as a firefly village, and the station building is also designed to evoke a farming village settlement. In the center of the festival plaza is a yagura (tower), used for events such as mochi-throwing. In 2021 (Reiwa 3), the steam locomotive 'Nagato Railway No. 101', which once ran on the Nagato Railway, was received free of charge from the Kaya SL Square in Yosano, Kyoto Prefecture, and put on display.
