An 897-metre mountain in Nanbu, with Suruga Bay seen from the ridge.
About this place
One of the 100 Famous Mountains of Yamanashi in the Southern Alps range of Yamanashi Prefecture. The summit has a beech forest on the east side and a cypress forest on the west side, and is quiet but lacks views. On the way to Heijinodan, climbing south, there are two observation points with wide views as far as Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay and the Izu Peninsula. It is 25 minutes from Tomizawa IC on the Chubu-Odan Expressway to the Nakazawa trailhead.
