About this place
Fujita Memorial Garden is a Japanese garden in Kamishirogane-cho, Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. The Western-style house, Japanese-style house, warehouse and other buildings in the garden were registered as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties in 2003 (Heisei 15). It is a garden in an Edo-style setting, built by Fujita Kenichi, a businessman who served as president of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who in 1919 (Taisho 8) brought gardeners from Tokyo to make it when he built a villa in his home town of Hirosaki.
