About this place
Tai no Ura is part of the coastal waters from Uchiura Bay to Nyudogasaki in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture. It is known as a habitat of sea bream. The place name is Myo no Ura. 'Tai no Ura' is known for schools of red sea bream swimming together, and the Tai no Ura sea bream habitat is designated a Special National Natural Monument. The designated area covers 200 hectares of sea and land, and fishing and other recreational angling are prohibited within the sea area.
