About this place
Yoro Keikoku (Yoro Gorge) is a gorge formed by the Yoro River, which flows from Awamata, Otaki, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture, to Asoubara, Ichihara. Its centre is near the boundary between Otaki and Ichihara. The surrounding area is designated Chiba Prefectural Yoro Keikoku Okukiyosumi Natural Park. In 2007 it was selected as one of the 100 Geological Sites of Japan as the Yoro Gorge-Kurotaki Unconformity.
