About this place
Shiroyone Senmaida is a terraced rice field in Shiroyone-machi, Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture. The number of paddies was 1,004 before the damage from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, and the on-site information board also states this. It spreads over a slope of about 4 hectares with a height difference of about 50 meters, overlooking the Sea of Japan, about 8 kilometers east of central Wajima. Its beautiful scenery, which seems to cascade toward the Sea of Japan, is a tourist spot, and the roadside station Senmaida Pocket Park is nearby.
