About this place
The Nagasaki Lantern Festival is an event held every winter in Nagasaki, Nagasaki Prefecture. When a paifang gate was built in Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown in 1986, the Chinatown Promotion Association drew up a plan to hold a 'lantern festival' combining the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival as a tourism promotion event, and it has been held every year since the Spring Festival of 1987.
