About this place
Misasa Onsen is a hot spring in Misasa, Tohaku District, Tottori Prefecture. It is one of the Japan 100 Views. As of 2017, the annual number of bathers is second in Tottori Prefecture after Kaike Onsen. It is one of the hot springs that make up the Tottori Nashi no Hana Onsen Villages. Radioactive / sodium chloride spring The Mitoku River divides it north and south into two hot spring groups, the Misasa group (Misasa district) and the Yamada group (Yamada district). It is Japan's largest radon hot spring area, and radon hot springs with a water temperature of 34 degrees Celsius or more are a rare type of radioactive spring even worldwide.
