Nagato Yumoto Onsen is a hot spring area in Nagato, northern Yamaguchi Prefecture (former Nagato Province). It is counted as one of the 'Bocho Four Springs', regarded as the leading hot springs of Yamaguchi Prefecture. The formal name of Nagato Yumoto Onsen is 'Yumoto Onsen', without the 'Nagato' prefix. For example, the 'National Hot Spring Encyclopedia' and the 'Teikoku Shoin Atlas' list it as 'Yumoto (Onsen)'. However, the official website and the Nagato City Tourism and Convention Association present it as 'Nagato Yumoto Onsen'.
