About this place
Mizunami City Ceramics Museum is a museum on Mino ware in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture. It is a facility that collects and stores ceramic materials, conducts surveys and research on the ceramics industry in general, and exhibits the results. In April 1980 (Showa 55), it opened as the Tono Seibu History and Folklore Museum / Mizunami Ceramics Museum, run by the Tono Seibu Wide-Area Administrative Association. In 2007 (Heisei 19), administration by the association was abolished; it was transferred to Mizunami and renamed Mizunami City Ceramics Museum.
