About this place
Zou-no-Hana Park is a park in Kaigandori 1-chome, Naka Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is the birthplace of Yokohama Port. It corresponds to Block 3 of the Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 district plan. The Zou-no-Hana breakwater was restored to its mid-Meiji shape, and the park opened on June 2, 2009 (Heisei 21), the 150th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port. In 1859 (6th year of Ansei), two piers, the East Pier (English Pier) and the West Pier (Customs Pier), were built by the shogunate, and Yokohama Port opened.
