About this place
Toyama Glass Art Museum is a public art museum in Nishimachi, Toyama, Toyama Prefecture. It is a member of the Japanese Association of Museums and the Toyama Prefecture Museum Association. In Toyama, which has a history of the pharmaceutical industry known for its traveling medicine sales, glass bottle factories for medicine opened one after another from the Meiji era onward. To revive the glass industry that declined after the Pacific War, Toyama opened a Toyama Citizens' University glass craft course in September 1985 (Showa 60).
