About this place
Ichinomiya Shuzo Yugen Kaisha is a long-established sake brewery in Oda, Shimane Prefecture. It was founded in 1896 (Meiji 29) and incorporated in 1954 (Showa 29). Rika Asano (born 1990), who became master brewer (fifth-generation brewery-owner master brewer) in 2017, is a rare female master brewer in Shimane Prefecture. Its signature brand, Iwami Ginzan, uses a sake rice called Kairyo Hattanryu.
