About this place
Naritasan Tokyo Betsuin Fukagawa Fudodo is a Shingon sect Chizan school temple in Tomioka, Koto, Tokyo, and the Tokyo branch temple of Naritasan Shinshoji in Narita, Chiba. It is popularly called Fukagawa Fudoson or Fukagawa Fudodo. In the early Edo period, because the kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro staged a play featuring Fudo Myoo and for other reasons, a desire to worship the Fudo Myoo of Naritasan grew among the common people of Edo.
