About this place
Negoroji is a Tendai-sect independent temple in Nakayamacho, Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. Its mountain name is Aominesan and its subtemple name is Senjuin. The principal image is Senju Kanzeon Bosatsu. It is Temple No. 82 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. Principal image mantra: On bazara tarama kiriku sowaka Goeika (pilgrim's hymn): Yoi no ma no tae furu shimo no kienureba ato koso kane no gongyo no koe Standing on Aomine, the main peak of the Goshikidai plateau, the temple is 357.9 m above sea level. It is famous for autumn foliage, and during that season its parking lot is congested.
