Report on the INSTINCT BROTHERS Soccer School

A soccer school hosted by INSTINCT BROTHERS Inc. was held at Sports Jungle 10 in Yokohama City. At this school, Japan national team players, former Japan national team players, and players temporarily returning from overseas gathered to provide practical instruction aimed at helping children pursue and realize their dreams.

Dribbling and one-on-one instruction

KAA Gent player Tsuyoshi Watanabe and former Japan national team player Yuichiro Nagai led coaching on dribbling and one-on-one play. Mr. Nagai handled the thinking and movement coaching for offense, while Watanabe handled the thinking and movement coaching for defense, taking turns speaking to the children. For the children, it was a very useful experience that let them learn what is inside the minds of players, something they rarely have the chance to hear in everyday life. At the end, many of the children looked reluctant for it to be over, asking, "Is it already finished?" This time may have felt like only a moment for the children, but we believe it will surely become part of many foundations for them.

Goalkeeper Coaching

In addition, during the goalkeeper coaching session in which all the children took part, KAA Gent player Daniel Schmidt taught the basics. Schmidt also gave an actual goalkeeper demonstration, captivating the children with his large physique and reliable catching. After the session, many children said, "I want to become a goalkeeper!" and about 20 children showed their enthusiasm to aim to become goalkeepers in the future.

Shooting Coaching

Former Japan national team player Teruo Iwamoto and Tetsuya Okubo, who scored 99 goals in the J.League, taught examples of various shots and kicking techniques.

Children really do love kicking the ball! There is no doubt it became a football school full of smiles.
